OK so the other day I get this email from Brandon. It says I want to make this. I'm like what? Its a recipe for Baklava. He said, the one I had in NY was so good I want to try to make it. OK, we head to the store to pick up the ingredient. Let me tell you, it would have been cheaper to just go to a Greek restaurant and pick him up a piece. I want to say all together we spent well over $40+ on it. We all helped out, but for the most part it was Brandon and Austin. I do have to say it was pretty darn good. So the next cooking project is cinnamon rolls.
Ok something else we did today before baking the Baklava. We went to the Palms Hotel (where a lot of Celebrities hang out) to pick up Flogging Molly tickets(Irish Punk band). Christopher, Dominic, his friend Dan and Brandon are going in Sept. We thought ok lets eat at the buffet. It was nasty. Not much of a variety and for the price, not worth it. Here we thought it would be one of the better ones. So if you come to Vegas, skip the Palms buffet. Maybe they have better food up in the Playboy club ;)

that is to funny because we have gone to buffets and they can be nasty the ones in Vegas and Laughin. I would like to know who is the chef and is he happy with what he just put out? OY I'm not a chef but I take pride in what I cook. Bridget I will run the race with you girl. Keep up the good work and post till your heart is content! God Bless you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI think the guys that own the palms are from where i live, alb, n.m.. i think? lol...
ReplyDeleteyou have to be "the mom" that will go with their kids to get tickets to a concert. i cant wait till my kids get to that age. i have a 14 yr old but i guess concerts are of no interest to him YET!!

ReplyDeleteThe picture of your boys holding the baklava is great. When you journal for your 365, you should include the recipe!
