Day 273

Well I thought it was about time you all got to meet Scot and Kira. They are our wonderful SU Demonstrators. They are the best. Always coming up with the cutest projects. Tonight we made 4 really cute halloween cards. Im so happy stamp club has started back up again. I just wish I had more $$$ to buy more stuff.

Brandon and Dominic had another meet today. Dominic is doing better, moved up to 22nd with a time of 16:19 for a 2.8 mile race. Brandon came in 41st with a time of 17:34, so he is also doing a lot better. No race this weekend. YEAH. We get 3 days off.

Day 272

Well I finally went to the Dr's today. I have been cancelling and rescheduling my appointment for the last 4 months. I guess I was feeling a little self conscious about the weight that I have gained since my last appointment. Can you see why I would be? Don't you think he's cute? I do :) So now I have 1 month to lose some weight before going back to see him. *Yes the pic is off his brochure, I'd be too nervous to ask him if I could take his pic*

Day 271

I'm so bummed. I could not get my computer to load last night so I missed a day. :(
Anyway, Yesterday was going to be our last 100+ day for the yr so I decided to BBQ. No this isn't the last day of us BBQing because we do that yr round. I just felt it was the appropriate way to send out summer. So I cooked up some Tony Romas Ribs, baked potatoes, and baked beans. Yummo!

Day 270

Austin got his turn to fly today, and he didn't get sick this time. He said the time went by too fast. They let him taxi up the runway and take off. Austin flew by Red Rock Canyon and back to the airport. The instructor didn't let him land. I don't blame him.
I picked up Dominic from the airport. He was happy to be home, but he said it was way too hot. My temp. gage said 105 today. He wants to move to Oregon now. Said it was beautiful.

Day 269

Ok first off I have to be the proud mom that I am and say WE WON THE NIKE PRE-NATIONALS. I am so proud of our Centennial boys. Go Bull Dawgs!!!!!!!!! Dominic came in 83 out of 200. But this is only his 2nd race since having his cast off. So that's not bad. He's only going to get better.
Im home from a wonderful weekend of scrapping and just plain fun. We had 3 classes today and I didn't finish any of the projects. As soon as I do I will post pics. At the closing ceremonies, they had lots of raffle prize drawings. I won a Pink BIA. Yeah. I have been wanting one. I also won some stamps, thickers, and stickers.Carol won lots of goodies too. It was a very good night. I can't wait until next yr. Well it has been a long weekend and Im beat. So Goodnight All! Don't ya love my POTD lol :) We were the Glitz Girls! I can't forget to Thank Kathie (she's the one who told me about this exclusive workshop) for the really cute flowers she made me and Carol. All returning girls got black and white ones. One of Kathies other friend, Taryn wanted one so she went home Thursday and made all of us newbies the IU virgin flower. Let me tell you they are way cuter than the ones returning girls got. The group shot is so funny because the lady in the center in black shirt is from Canada (Lori) she brought these black out glasses. (you know the don't bar)lol. Each girl took turns wearing them for her camera. It was hilarious. (well to some of us)

Day 268

Today Carol and I went to Inspirations Unlimited. We had such a good time. Met Teresa Collins, Janna Wilson, Layle Koncar and more. My friend Kathie and her 3 friends won $777.00 playing Bingo. How come I never get that lucky. Well maybe today I did get lucky. I got a text from Robert saying I had a surprise waiting for me when I got home. Guess what has arrived? Yep my Gypsy. We were told it woudn't be here until Oct. 2nd. I can't wait to play with it. Dominic is in Oregon and having a good time. He said the Nike Headquarters is Crazy Awesome. Im sad I didn't get to go with him. I wanted to watch him run and also see my friend Michelle. Tomorrow is another fun day at IU09. till then.

Day 267

Could not connect to computer all evening. Just got on. The boys went to the Flogging Molly concert tonight and they took the camera with them. I am hoping they get some pics. Boys were 3 rows from the front, but too much moshing going on so Christopher moved back a little to get this pic.
I went to a Pampered Chef party at my friend Joy's house. Oh man they made the most delicious brownies. I can't wait to make them here at the house. Dominic leaves for Oregon tomorrow. He will be running in the Nike Pre-Nationals. He and the rest of the boys are going to have a great time. I wish I could go, but I made plans back in Feb to go to INSPIRATIONS UNLIMITED. Its a scrapbook convention here in town. I can't wait.

Day 266

Race day. Dominic's first XC meet of the yr. He hasn't ran since July 23. He did well for his first one back. Time 15:07. Dominic tweeked his ankle on one of the hills. They had to ice it. Brandon ran 16:41. Not bad. Hope his ankle will be ok for the Oregon run this weekend.

Day 265

Only 100 more days till the end of the yr.
Dominic gets to run his first race tomorrow. :) He just got out of the shower and is now hair free. He always shaves his legs the day before a race. Here's his clean shaven leg. He does a better job then I do sometimes. lol (any other racer guys out there do this)? I know weird picture, but hes so happy to be racing again.

Day 264

So one of the other girls that's doing the project 365 along with me took a picture of a thermometer today seeing its the last day of summer. (She got snow and rain). I don't have one near me so I took a pic of the upcoming week's weather. I think tomorrow and Wed will be the coolest we've been in a while. But just look, we will be back to 99+ by the weekend. Will we ever cool down?

Day 263

Robert and Austin went to the NLV airport so Robert could get his flight review done and Austin for his first flight lesson. Robert went first. While doing the take offs and landings Austin was fine. They then flew out to another area of town were you do steep turns and stalls. While doing the stalls Austin got sick to his stomach. Unfortunately that was the end of the flight for him. They had to fly back to the airport so he could come home and change. (trust me I know what he was going thru. Robert did this to me while pregnant with Christopher. I thought I was going to die.) So Austin gets his turn next week.

Challenge to use carts

We were challenged to use our carts that we have never used before. I used the simply sweet and cursive 101 carts on this layout.I also used the swiss cheese punch. Let me tell you how hard it was to put this together. I am always trying to do stuff like everyone else. I have to be ok with the fact that I am a simple scrapper and I will never be fancy like so many others. I don't think my boys will care when they get older if I don't have enough bling or embellishments on my pages. So here is my simple page.

Day 262

I broke out the baby bug today for my mom. I guess she was up watching the Cricut infomercial and wanted to get creative. I was trying to show her how to use it. I think I have forgotten how to cut without the DS. (The poor baby hasn't seen the light of day in well over a yr.not since I got the E). Not sure what she's making, but she said its something for Christmas.

Day 261

I went to my friend Julies house today and we made this adorable Halloween treat box. It is a popcorn box covered with paper. One side of the box is a skull the other side is a cat. Don't ask me the name of the paper, because I don't know. LOL The stamps are from CTMH. I just had to have those stamps. The tubing was filled with googly eyes, skulls and bones candies. Julie is so talented. If you could see all of her scrapbooks you'd stand there in Awe like I do everytime she shows me a new one. All of her books are homemade. I wish her's, Carol's and Leticia's talents would rub off on me, but it just not happening.

Day 260

HAPPY 13th BIRTHDAY AUSTIN! I love you very much. I can't believe my baby is a teenager now. Wow where did the time go? Austin got a couple of Nerf guns for his birthday. Guess who was caught in the line of fire, ME. A dart straight into my eye. Thank God Robert had some numbing drops. Austin asked for Brisket for dinner. We normally go out to eat. This was much nicer and can I say cheaper. ;)

Day 259

The kids have become obsessed with the TV series Bones. Christopher and Kirstin get to watch them first then the other boys get to watch them after. I have yet to see one episode.

Day 258

Today I went to breakfast with 2 of my friends. We had a great time chatting and laughing so hard. Then after school I had to take Austin for his eye appointment. He's getting contacts too. Guess he wants to be like his brothers. Went to Brandon's meet. He didn't do that great today because I took them to Cafe Rio after school to get the yummy coconut shrimp tacos. He probably should not have had them so close to a race. He cramped up. Christopher finally went to a meet. So my POTD is of him and Dominic. Sometimes its easy to forget I have 4 boys since he spends so much time with Kirstin. Then it was time for my zumba class. I think I have talked 2 other friends into joining me on Tues. We will see. Ok time to watch The Biggest Loser.

Day 257

Are you ready for some Football? I am! It's Monday night Football. 2 games today, can you believe that. :) Patriots won the first game. The next game Raiders vs the Chargers. Our 2 home teams, but I'm a die hard Raiders fan. (NO LAUGHING) What a good game. Unfortunately they lost 24-20.

Day 256

Movie Sunday. We went to see the movie 9. It was based off a short animated story on Youtube. It was good. Lame ending, but good. We will be going to our friend Lori's memorial service later today. She passed away a week ago Thursday. Her daughter and my oldest have been friends since they were 3. They are 20 now. Its very sad.

Day 255

We had yet another meet this morning way across town. There were so many kids there. In Brandon's race alone there were 204 kids. He came in 77 out of 204 with a time of 16:26. Not bad. Shaved off 3 min from his last meet. Since we were only 15 min or so from Hoover Dam we decided to go drive over it and check out the new bridge they are building to alleviate the traffic issues over the dam. (Construction of the Colorado River Bridge is advancing on the 1,060 foot twin-rib concrete arch. The Colorado River Bridge is the central portion of the Hoover Dam Bypass Project. Construction on the nearly 2,000 foot long bridge began in late January 2005 and the completion of the entire Hoover Dam Bypass Project is expected in Late 2010. When completed, this signature bridge will span the Black Canyon (about 1,600 feet south of the Hoover Dam), connecting the Arizona and Nevada Approach highways nearly 900-feet above the Colorado River). We had a good morning and we were home by noon. I laid out in the pool for a couple of hrs. Until the clouds rolled in, no rain just clouds. Vegas hardly ever gets rain. That is why Lake Mead looks like its drying up.

9/11/01, A day I will always remember and I hope no one ever forgets. We will always remember those who lost their lives on that horrible day. Give your loved ones a big hug today. A big thank you to all those who serve our country to keep us safe and from harms way. God Bless America!

Day 253

He is officially boot free. YEAH!!!!! Thank you Dr. Politz. Now he can get back to running and helping our team get to state. I had to leave him at his appointment to get Austin to his karate. When I got home Dominic is panicked that he left his wallet, Iphone and Ipod at school because he was in such a hurry to get to the dr for a clean bill of health. I had to run him back up to the school to see if the stuff was still there. THANK GOD it was. If it had been any other school in our valley, I guarantee it would have been gone. Now off to watch Big Brother.

Day 252

Another XC meet. Its looking like there will be 2 a week from now until November. Our boys team won. Brandon came in the middle of the pack.(will get times tomorrow) I wasn't really paying attention because I have to get this book im reading done for book club Friday. Im half way thru it. Guess I will be doing lots of reading tonight and tomorrow. Anyway, Brandon had to give me a pose made famous by Dominic. lol One of the parents said he's so much like his brother. I have to agree. ;)

Day 251

OMG I just survived my first ZUMBA class. I have not really danced in 21 yrs. I was an avid dancer until I met and married Robert. It was like going cold turkey. I would go out dancing probably 3-4 nights a week. I was in such good shape then. So I am putting myself out there without makeup and hair done. Boy do my calves hurt.

Day 250

Just thought I'd take a picture of our game closet. Boy we have a lot of games. I think we should go back to Friday night game nights. I also use this as a place to store extra school supplies and blankets.

Went to see the movie the Gamer. Another one that you all can save your money on. Not that great. Today Robert is finally changing light bulbs that have been burnt out around the house for months. Can you say "LET THERE BE LIGHT"!

Day 248

Labor Day Classic Cross Country meet today. They ran the kids in their age group, All freshmen, all Sophmores, all Juniors and all Seniors. Brandon came in 2nd for Centennial, but 11 over all for the freshmen. He missed medalling by 10 secs. He is going to continue to get better with each race. We came home and I have been cyber scrapping with some friends. They had a big head start on me since I was gone most of the day. But So far I got 4 layouts done for my 365 album.

Day 247

I have an addiction to Stamps. LOL Really to all things crafty. These are most of my stamps not including the ones I have in 2 binders unmounted. I've been thinking of finishing taking all my stamps off the blocks to make more room for more stuff. Not really. I really need to start using my stuff. I am going to join along with Lorrie and her self imposed challenge to use all the carts we own. Im not going to start until Monday.

Day 246

Look who's home. Yep my mom got sprung today from Rehab(Respiratory not Drug rehab. lol). She is all hooked up and has a 50 ft oxygen line so she can go from her room to the back yard. I think she will be a lot happier now that she is home. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers. I told her if she makes me mad I will tie knots in her line. ;)

Day 245

How many times this yr have I forgotten to charge my battery for the camera? Too many. Man it always happens when one of the boys does a good job. Brandon had a meet out in timbuktu. He came in 4th for his team, 8th overall. This was an extreme course. 2 big hills that were very steep. so no pics of him racing. I do however have one of him and Bandit taking a nap together. I swear our dog thinks he's a person.

Happy Birthday Joy. It was so nice to go and have lunch and cake with my friend Joy for her birthday. Got to spend a little time with Danielle, Kelly and Janet too. At least you are still and will always be younger than Danielle.:P Oh I think she liked her book.
Mom looks a lot better today than she has in a while. Crossing fingers that she gets out soon.
