Day 59

Day 58

First off Happy Birthday Uncle Don! Aloha.

My POTD is another one of Flat Stanley. I have had him a couple of weeks now and he needed to get to NY so we took him down to the strip. We as a family have never stopped at the Famous Las Vegas Welcome sign, so what better time than with our little guest. Since the whole family couldn't be there I just took the picture with Austin and Brandon. We might do this for our Christmas card this yr. I can't believe I just said "Christmas".

Day 57

I was able to get a hold of Photoshop CS2. Thanks Carol ;). Well I'm what you would call computer challenged. Today Debbie on the cricut MB tried to help. Thanks Debbie. Robert saw me struggling with it, so he produced a video from the Video Professor series to help me out. I knew he had bought a bunch of them, but did not know he had one for Photoshop. So I will be watching the videos later on once the kids are done cleaning their rooms and dinner is over.

Day 56

Here are a couple of cards I made tonight at stamp club. The birthday one we used the star punch and stamp set happy everything. The flower card we used the water color crayons, but I don't know the name of the stamp set. I look forward to our once a month get together.

Day 55

I was trying to take a picture of myself in the mirror, but didn't like how it turned out. So I took a picture of one of my many Snowmen. (I collect them). I'm sure there will lots of pictures of them before the year is over.

We got to babysit for a friend of the family. We have known Summer since she was 3. She and Mark had Emma 6 months ago. Christopher, Kirstin, Summer and Mark went to the movies and asked me if I would watch her. We made it a family affair. She is so adorable, don't you think?

Day 51

I went the the grocery store the other day and put $5.00 into the Poker machine and I won $100.00. I was getting tired of looking at my roots that were almost 3 inches over due. (I hadn't had my hair done since October.) YIKES! So I called and made an appointment for today. I had her add more highlights so I can slowly go back to blond. I have been blond all my life and last October decided to do something different and go darker. Robert hated it. Here is my POTD.

Day 50

I can't believe I have kept this up for 50 days. YEAH! Today's POTD is of me and my friend Carol. We met at Del Taco to have lunch and chat. I want to thank her so much for lending me her ear today. Its just what I needed. Its so nice when you can go eat greasy food and not be judged by what you are eating, saying or doing. Thank you Carol : ) I am truly blessed with some of the greatest friends.

Day 49

Our families Wednesday night obsession: LOST. The show you love to hate. As much as it drives me crazy and literally I become more lost with each episode, we still keep coming back to watch. I can't wait until they start answering more of the questions that we all have. I hear that next season will be the last. That means they have a lot of wrapping up to do.

Day 48

This is one of the other chores I hate to do, laundry. It's kind of embarrassing to let everyone see it piled up on my bed(and this isn't even all of it), but this is how it will be until I either get it all hung up or folded. Kids will bring the baskets upstairs and dump it on my bed and take off. Do you think they would ask if I needed any help. Heck No! So honestly it won't get done until tomorrow because I am going to go watch Biggest Loser now.

Day 47

I had the most fun today. I had my friends over for lunch and they brought their kids. We sat, ate and chatted for 5 hrs. The kids kept busy playing Rock Band and just hanging out.

Happy Valentines Day!

Well I told Robert I did not want to do Valentines this yr. So of course he did not get me anything, but I got him a 1 hr. massage and the boys a little something too. That did not sit well with him. He's been very grouchy all day.

I helped Kirstin cook pomegranate chicken for Christopher and the rest of us. It was pretty good. My POTD:This is what young love looks like. She blind folded him to lead him up to his room.She fixed his room up with candles and flower petals. They ate their dinner up in his room. Thank God she did not burn down our house. : )

Day 44

There are a few things I can't stand to do and this is one of them. I hate to iron. So this will be the one and only time you will see me doing this. Christopher wanted a shirt ironed for tomorrow and since I am such a nice mom I did. Then I got stuck ironing Austin's shirts. I also hate to dust. :)

Day 43

Flat Stanley arrived at my house the other day from California, I think. He belongs to a young boy in 4th grade, from Washington State. Today Christopher and Kirstin took him to UNLV. Stanley got a little taste of higher education today. (to be honest, he probably saw more Kissing than books being open) lol.

Day 42

Today I was working on making birthday cards for another swap that's due soon. Not sure I like this card. Is it too plain? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. (this is a sample card) I started to put fun flock on it, but not sure about it. That is why I went with stickles.

Day 41

I was stumped as to what I should do as my POTD, until my son's girlfriend asked me to go shopping for a dress for her to wear on Valentines day. We went to Kohls and I found a new bedding set and some shirts for the boys. She didn't find a dress. We might go to the mall tomorrow. At the check out, I saw this cute giraffe. My 16 yo is in a band and he named his "drum solo" Space Giraffe. I had to get it for him. Its so cute just like he is. : )

Day 40

I went to pick up the boys from school and looked at the mountains and thought "wow they look pretty today". So I drove home, had them grab the camera and we headed out to Red Rock Canyon. Now I wasn't planning on this. I had flip flops on and no jacket. But it was to pretty not to take a picture. I took a few. This one is with the boys. The reason they are wearing ties is was Crazy Tie day at school.

Day 39

As most of my friends know, Sunday has been the day that we go to the movies as a family. We have done this for yrs. Today we went to see Taken. Great movie by the way. So here is the my POTD.

Day 38

It's raining here today and we are stuck inside. Not that the kids go outside all that much. So my youngest is claiming he is bored. I am going to put him to work on the cricut E right now. I have some stuff that a friend wanted me to cut out. Guess he can't complain now. : )

POTD is the rain. I am still trying to figure out how to stop action with my camera. I couldn't decide between these 2 pictures.

Day 37

Today was kind of a sad day for me. I went to my old job up at the school to say goodbye to our Principal, Mr. Booth. I have known him almost 10 yrs. First as PTA and then working for him. I made the decision this yr. not to go back to work. (I regret that one) but would still get to see him when I would go visit everyone there. Boy did I have to keep myself in check. I got very misty eyed while talking to him. I'm going to miss him dearly. But like he said he's not dying just moving to another school, but that other school isn't one I can just come hang out at. : ( and see him and all my other favorites. Anyway, here is a picture of me and him and the fortune cookie I sent him. Peace Out Mr. B!

Day 36

Last week my hairdresser called me to let me know that one of the girls was running a special for Pedicures. $20. a month. If you miss a month it goes up to $40. Well I couldn't pass this up so today I went to get a pedi. I told the lady about the 365 project and she thought that was pretty cool. So she let me take a picture. So here are my fat little toes. : ). I also went to see Revolutionary Road with my friend Carol. Man was that movie a downer. Acting was good, but not really sure what to think about this movie.

Day 35

The after. I know I can get a lot more of it put away, but time just got away from me. At least I got one layout done. The rest will get cleaned up this weekend.

Day 34

Ok I was going to take a picture of all the people waiting in line for FREE food from Denny's, but I left my camera at home. So I got to thinking, man my car really needs a wash. So POTD is my dirty car. I don't think I've washed it since last Aug. Sad huh! I used to get it done while I was at work.

Day 33

Today's POTD is my brand new Hello Kitty cart that I got from a very Sweet Lady on the Cricut MB. Sue aka CoolNana. I had her as a swap partner and she liked the can I sent to her and she wanted to get me this cart. I left it up to her, since she is so kind hearted she did it anyway. Thank you so much. I will enjoy playing with this one.

Day 32

Its Super Bowl Sunday and the Steelers are taking on the Arizona Cardinals. I am hoping the Cardinals win, because I like Kurt Warner. I usually make lots of food and we all sit and watch the game and the commercials. This year I didn't think the commercials were that great. I would say my favorite as well as my kids was the Doritos one where as he ate chips clothes fell off the girl, money came out of the atm, the cop turned into a monkey and then when he was out of chips he got hit by a bus. My kids laughed so hard. Definitely caught us off guard.

The Steelers won 27-23. : (

Today's POTD is all the food. (wing, fingers, artichoke dip, sausage dip, 7 layer dip, sandwich stuff, chips, salsa Chili and bread bowls, chex mix, and cake) Yep the diet was on hold for today.
