Day 181

A blast from the past. Me and Brandon went to Walmart after taking Dominic to track practice because I had to pick up some vitamin E and some other stuff for tomorrow's POTD. While walking around Brandon saw Jiffy Pop popcorn. I told him he could get it. The kids were all excited to watch it pop. I remember doing this as a kid. I would sometimes burn it. YUCK! But they did good. Now to watch a movie and eat our popcorn.

Day 180

I guess my little old blog has become boring and its only been 6 months. I'm losing people who usually comment :(
Today we just hung out by the pool for a bit and inside since the weather was 110+. Not much you can do in Vegas when it gets this hot. Austin did go to tae kwon do practice and did a 30 min workout on our new treadmill. Well its not new. Our neighbor has to downsize because his wife had back surgery and is probably going to lose her job. So he gave Robert a really good deal on it. Needless to say mine is still on order and should be here in a couple weeks. Here is where the guys work out. My new one will go in my room.

Day 179

Its Sunday and we get up to head over to the track, but coach tells us Dominic probably won't run to about 1-2 pm. Man I wish we would have known that before we checked out of the hotel, because I would have went back up there to rest some more. Anyway we went to breakfast at IHOP and then headed over for our long wait. Let me tell you its no fun sitting on those metal bleachers in 100 degree temps. My SIL Sonia came again today. We sat around waiting for Dominic to run hoping it would be before 1-2. Well it wasn't. He ran and came in 6th place in the 800. He PR'd (personal record) with the time of 2:00.0 flat. Back to Vegas, I feel like the book I'm reading Time Travelers Wife for our book club. lol Austin point sparred and came in 4th. Pretty good since he was up against bigger kids then himself. Then he was in continuous sparring and tradtional forms and didn't place. Its ok. This just gives him more experience. (as of right now Robert has not given me any pics for these events)We left meet to head home. IKEA is on the way, I talked the boys into letting me go. I have never been. I told Robert I was like a kid in a candy store. I only picked up some bygel rods to hold my punches. $1.99 a piece. couldn't pass it up. Then we headed to our favorite eating hole, the Spaghetti Factory. To keep Brandon from getting bored, I gave him the camera and all the way home he snapped photos of the signs that said Las Vegas so many miles. I am only going to post one, because I would have to start a whole new post for his pics. lol All in all we had a great weekend. Never made it to the beach, never got the chance to meet up with BlueRose(Kath), I left her number here at home. I was kind of bummed about that, but Im sure she would have hated to drive out in the heat. Glad to be home.

Day 178

It's Saturday and we have to be at the track by 8:00 am. Boy has the weather changed since yesterday. It was so cool and nice and today its a scorcher. Dominic is running the second race, but the first race has 36 heats. He doesn't run until almost 12:30. My B/Sil live in Calif. and drove out to watch Dominic race. It was so nice to see them. They in fact were life savers. They stopped and picked up not 1 but 3 umbrellas for us. Thank you so much. I was roasting like a pig over a fire. LOL Anyway, Dominic came in 2nd place in the 1500. That qualified him to go to the Junior Olympics in NC the end of July. YEAH. Now back to Vegas. Austin competed in musical forms and came in 2nd as well. He qualified for Nationals or something like that in Orlando, FL in October. Can you see the smoke coming off my credit cards. :) its will all be worth it. After the meet, Brandon, Dominic and I went to the movies. Thankfully it was with in 2 mins from our hotel so we just walked there. We saw Transformers. AWESOME MOVIE! And if you were to ask the boys, Megan Fox made the whole movie worth while. :)

Day 177

Dominic, Brandon and I are on our way out the door headed for California. Dominic has a meet there. The rest of the family will be staying here for Austin's biggest Karate tournament of the yr. I wish I could somehow be in two places at once, but unfortunately its not possible. I want to wish both my boys Good Luck! Pictures will be posted Sunday or Monday depending on when I decided to come home.LOL I'm hoping to hit up the beaches while there. That's one thing I miss most about not living in Calif, well and the green. Have a great weekend!

Day 176 In loving Memory

Do you remember the day Elvis Died? Well now we can add 2 more to that list. My heart goes out to the families of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett. I kind of knew Farrah would be leaving this place soon, but Not Michael. What a shocker. He was so much a part of my childhood. What a tremendously talented person he was. It was just so sad to see what fame had done to him. I will always remember the Michael Jackson from Thriller . and Farrah, who could forget the red bathing suit poster. My step dad had it up on the wall in our house. May you both rest in Peace!

Day 175

Well so far today has been kind of boring. We are all just kicking back doing nothing pretty much. Boys are playing video games and I was getting ready to go layout when I realized its kind of dark outside and sprinkling. Guess no sunning today. I should really get my book done for book club. I did read some last night. Its getting better. I have stamp club tonight so I will post pictures of what we make. I think tonight is our last one until summer is over. Most of the ladies are teachers and they like to take the summer off.
I'm back from stamp club. We had a really fun night. We made this cute 4th of July page, a diorama card and a gift card holder. Super cute.

Day 174

Its time to hang out by the pool with some friends and just chill. Going to BBQ hot dogs and maybe hamburgers. It supposed to be 101 today. I can't believe how fast summer is flying by. I still have to go to the grocery store to pick up the stuff so I better get going. Oh I have to send out a big Congrats to Joy. She got the Office Manager's job. You go girl! You will do an awesome job.

Ok it figures I would forget all about the camera until after everyone left. We were having fun chatting while kids played. I did get Brandon jumping into the pool.

Day 173

I don't really consider myself a great scrapper. I do the best that I can. My friend Leticia is moving away soon (we are all very sad about this) and she asked us all to do a layout for her book. Its title is Who Am I. This is what I came up with. Nothing fancy, just simple like me. Now that I got this finished I will take the boys to In & Out and get lunch and lay out by the pool.

Day 172

We took Robert to see Year One with Jack Black. One word: HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!Worse than Land of the Lost. I can't tell you the last time we came out of a theatre and every single person walking out of the movie said how bad this movie was. Don't go and don't waste your money when it comes to DVD

Happy Fathers Day 172

I want to wish Robert a very Happy Fathers day! We will take him to the movies and then BBQ later on this evening. will post pics and movie he picks later on.

Day 171

I spent the day with 3 of my boys. Dominic went with Robert to San Diego to visit his dad. We went to the mall and walked around didn't find anything thing for Robert. He's the hardest person to buy for, then to Borders to see about maybe getting him a book of some sort. I got him a book on old war ships. He's really into history. Then I took the boys to eat at On the Border. I had a yummy strawberry Margarita. Now we are home going to watch a movie and wait until they get home from Calif. Nothing excited going on.

Abort Operation, Sorry!

I have been having the hardest time going to a lot of my favorite peoples blogs. I keep getting the dreaded abort operation. I don't know if it's just me or what, but its becoming frustrating to the point that I don't even want to try anymore. I am sorry if I haven't left you a message in a while. I hope whoever or whatever is causing this to happen gets it fixed soon.

Day 170

Technically this picture was from last night, but since it was so late when we finally finished watching Transformers (the first one) I thought I'd post it today. The screen will be up again for todays movie. It's a 110" screen I got for Robert a couple of years ago for Fathers day. We put it up in the backyard when the weather permits. Not sure what we will watch, I'm trying to get them to watch Twilight. I don't think it will happen. Maybe another action flick. Im going to get my hair done. Im still unsure of what color, I kind of like my hair darker, but since it is summer maybe I will go lighter. I will post that pic later today.

Day 169 afternoon

Robert had so much fun taking Christopher to the shooting range yesterday, that they went out again today and took Brandon and Austin. Dominic stayed behind because he has track practice.

Uggg, I hate when the house gets messy. You would think these boys could pick up their clothes. nope they like to just drop them where they are standing. I saw this sign at a craft fair and just had to have it. Going to lunch today with Joy and Danielle to BW's (buffalo wild wings)I'm leaving the cleaning to them today. :)

He thinks he's funny!

My son Christopher, as stated in the below post hates Twilight, while he and Robert were out shooting today. They went to Bass Pro Shop and took this picture there. Its him pretending to fight off a Werewolf as in (the brown Edward from twilight aka Jacob, aka werewolf,the one with the cool hair who should not have cut it,who doesn't sparkle)his words. lol I just gotta love him. He keeps me in stitches, they all do.

Day 168

My shrine to Twilight.

OK first off, I hope no one is offended by this post. My oldest hates all things Twilight. So he got on my computer and changed my computer background.(you will have to click on it to actually see what he did) Knowing how much I like the book series, he thought it would be funny. He harasses me every single day.(well really they all do) I did have to laugh, because it looks like they could possibly say what he put.

Day 167

This is what we did today. We went down to the Fountains oustide of the Bellagio to watch the performers from all the Cirque Du Soliel shows here in town try to break a worlds record of most people on stilts in one place. It was a pretty cool site to see. After we went into the Conservatory inside the Bellagio. We have never been in there. (we don't go to the strip that often) They change the flowers for each of the different seasons. It was pretty cool in there.

We (I) decided to get my butt in gear and get this weight off. I know I've said it before, but this time I mean it. When you go shopping for shorts and have to buy the next size up that can make any girl want to get in shape. I went from a size 20 to a 12 and to have to go backwards and get a 14 is very depressing. So here is a picture of us walking our dog Bandit. We did hr 1/2 walk and bike ride.

Day 165

Second day of the track meet. Dominic placed 1st in his division running a personal best of 4:20 in the 1500. He qualified for regionals which will be held in 2 weeks in Cerritos, California. If he makes it there we are off to North Carolina for Junior Olympics. I think I am going to love this club stuff, we get to travel.
We will be going to the movies in a bit to see The Taking of Pelham 123. I'll let you know my opinion on it when we get back. Movie was good. John Travolta plays a great crazy guy!

Day 164

What a long day. Dominic needed to be at the tack meet at 7am and they didn't start running until after 9. So we sat in the hot sun. Yes I am sunburned again, but this time I did use some sunscreen. He ran a 2:05 for the 800. Not his best. I think he psyched himself out when he found out he was running against the State winner and 2nd place in the great southwest. Oh well there is still tomorrow. Then it was off to Jordan's graduation party. Got pictures of me and my girlfriends Joy, Danielle, the proud mama, and Susan. Then me and Joy trying a myspace pose. LOL

Day 163

I want to give a big shout out to "OUR" '09 HS Graduates, Jen, Jordan and Steven. I'm so proud of all of you. I knew you could do it. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I made them all the 2 liter bottles and filled them with $$.
