Day 237

Update on my mom. She is being moved to a respiratory rehab tonight. I guess that is a good thing. She will probably be in there for about a week. Then if all goes well she will be home. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. Still no POTD, but the day isn't over. I decided to take a picture of the Stamps, Carol made me get. LOL not really. She did say she would let me use hers, but you all know I need my own Twilight stuff. :) So since it was twilight, I thought I take a pic of all the goodies I got in a swap on the cricut mb.

Day 236

Its back to school and I know the kids are not happy about it. I think I am going to enjoy a few days without having them here. But I know I will really miss having them around. I am so thankful I have a good relationship with my kids (most days lol)I am going to be posting 3 pics because I did not get one of the boys together this morning.

Day 235

Last Day of Summer :(
Today we took the boys to see Inglorious Basterds with Brad Pitt. I think I slept thru 75% of it. Don't know if it was that bad or I am just tired from this whole week. After we finished up some last minute school shopping. I then went to the hospital for 3 hrs. Mom still isn't doing well. Don't know when she will get out.
Each yr since we have moved into our home we measure the kids to see how much they have grown from the beginning of the last school yr. Here is my POTD the game closet door where we mark it.

Day 234

What a busy day it has been. I got up at 5 :( to take Brandon to Boulder City, Hoover Dam to run with the XC team. We got home around 11. Just in time to take showers and head over to the Flyers (Dom's club track team) awards ceremony banquet. We then had to head over to the DMV to renew Dominic's drivers permit. He hasn't had the time to get his licence yet. He's good to go for another yr or until he takes the drivers test. Now I am going to take a little nap because my allergies are kicking in since we had lots of wind up by the Dam and I had all the windows open. Then I will head on over to the hospital to see my mom. Don't know when she will get out of there. I don't want to rush it, I want to make sure she is better to be here at the house. What to use as the POTD. I might have to do 2 again since I had 2 things going on.

Day 233

Today's picture is of Bandit just out of the bath. The boys had to give him a bath because one of them didn't put away a DQ cup and he got into it and it was all over him. He hates baths! Pic is a little blurry because Austin took it while Brandon was trying to dry Bandit. He's not a happy camper :(

Day 232

Last night we went to Austin's new Karate studio for a going away party for Miss Martin. She's heading to college. While there we all got a surprise, including Austin. He is only the 2nd person from the school to ever receive this award/patch. Its for helping teach the younger kids and being a good role model. I'm so proud of him.

Day 231

The last couple of days have been pretty shitty. I am so stressed out with my mom being in the hospital and the kids having last minute stuff for school. I have messed up every appointment this week. Today I was 45 mins late to Brandons Eye appointment thinking I was on time. Wrote it down wrong. They almost didn't see him, but after telling them how screwed up my life has been they let him go in and now he gets to wear contacts. We have Austins jump start tonight and then we head to a Karate party to send Miss Martin off to College. I still have to make a side dish for that. Here is a pic of the wonderful nurse that is taking care of my mom. His name is Raymond, but I will just call him Jackie Chan II. Doesn't he look like him? He says he gets that a lot.

Day 230

What a crazy morning. I took Brandon and a couple of the other boys to Xcountry at 5:30. When I got home my mom was calling out to me that she could not breath. Robert called the paramedics and they took her to the hospital. I haven't been there yet because today was Baby Bulldog breakfast for incoming Freshmen. Brandon was able to pick up his classes today and tour the school. I am heading over to the hospital in a bit. So today is 2 pics.

Day 229

Went to see Time Travelers Wife. I have to say I wasn't sure about Eric Bana playing the role as Henry. He did a good job. The movie was good. But I still feel the book was much better. I know they can't put everything into a movie otherwise I'd still be sitting there. So all of you who love a great love story, this is a must see.

Day 228

Went to the early showing of District 9.(its cheaper) If you are a sci fi fan you will really like this movie. The boys enjoyed it, I think I did too, not sure yet. I didn't fall asleep.lol
After we came home and hung out in the pool. Now we are going to Wienerschniztle for some chili dogs. I should have taken the boys to get school supplies, but figured the mall would be nuts today.

Day 227

My official POTD (pic of the day) is Brandon cooking dinner for all of us. He made chicken stir fry. We are trying to go back to the Kids each taking turns making dinner on the weekend. His dinner came out great!

Man I have to give credit to all of you who make word books and use the bind it all. Me and Austin have been in my room all day trying to get this darn Statue of Liberty book to come out. Its far from perfect. I don't know how many papers and wires I have wasted today, but I have 2 trash cans full of paper. I really need to practice using the bind it all before using it on a final project. I cut way too many holes and Its not really centered. But since my family isn't perfect I don't think they will care that the book isn't perfect. I think they will just be happy that I got it done. :) Pics to come once Robert gets back from taking Brandon out shooting.
Its not completely done, I still need to embellish it, but this is how it turned out. I used Stand and Salute, George and Going Places.

Day 226

I woke up all ready to go to Mt. Charleston with Brandon and the XCountry team and walk. I guess I wasn't needed to drive :( Oh well, I did capture a beautiful sunrise. I also went to walmart to take back something and I picked up a few videos and some black cardstock to make some 8x8 pages for a swap Im in. What does the rest of the day have in store for us? Not sure. I do have to head back up to the school to pick up Brandon when they get back. But after that who knows. I worked all day on some pages for a swap that I signed up for Inspirations Unlimited. Then we watched The Soloist with Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. What a good movie.

Day 225

My goodies from Monday that I bought in California. Most of the stuff I got at M's for .47 or 97 cents and a few things for $1.47. Paper pad was $4.97, and sizzix New embossing folders were on sale 40% off I think. Sorry pics are a little blurry.



Took boys to lunch and now they are playing rock band. I am cleaning up my closet and realized I only own flip flops or sandals and 2 pairs of tennis shoes. I really should invest in some new shoes, but since school is starting in 11 days I will have to wait until after I get the boys their stuff. So here is my POTD all my shoes. lol

Day 224

My mom order this beautiful snowman (its a Thomas Kincade) for my birthday/mothers day gift and I just now received it. I can't wait to put it up for Christmas. Dominic went to the drs and she said he still has to wear the cast for at least 2 more weeks, but he can now take it off and walk around for a little bit as long as there is no pain. If it starts to hurt he needs to put it on immediately. Today was Austin's last day at the studio. The instructor was crying, but it will be ok. She will just be teaching him and the other students in a different location.

Im tired. :( Didn't do much of anything today. Took the boys to lunch, swam/layed out, went to M's and picked up the new cart ACY. Played on the computer, made dinner and now its time for Big Brother. Austin's karate studio is closing tomorrow instead of the end of the month. We are really sad. :(

Me and Kelly :)

I had a great time yesterday. I got up at 4:30 am to get ready and take the boys to XC and then pick up Carol and head out to Cali. We made it there by 10:00. We walked around Walmart and JoAnns until Kelly and her cute family were ready to meet up. We headed over to Red Robin. (I hope that was ok) We talked and took pics. It was really fun getting to meet her and her family. I wish we had more time. After that we went to M's and another scrapbook store. From there we headed out to IKEA. We got one of those delicious cinnamon rolls. I took $100. with me for the whole day, and I came back with $5. That's pretty good. I got a lot of stuff on sale at M's. On the way home we stopped at our friend Leticia's place. She is the one who just moved to cali last month. It was so nice to see her and her family. We spent 2 hrs with her before heading on home. We got home around 12:30 last night. I am so tired. will probably nap later today, because its my turn to pick up the boys. Glad it wasn't my turn to take. :)

Day 221

Today we went to Emma's 1st birthday party. She's so cute. Then I went to get my car washed. Didn't realize it was going to take 1 1/2 hrs to clean it. After, We went to see G.I. JOE. It was a good movie with lots of action. Not great, but good. I will be heading out tomorrow morning with my friend Carol to meet up with Kelly. She's on the Cricut MB and part of the 365 girls. Its going to be fun. I can't wait. Might even get to go to IKEA

Day 220

Meet GI Jane and the terrorist. (aka Kirstin and Christopher):) Robert took the kids out to the desert to go target shooting. Leaving me with an almost empty house. Yippee! (Dominic couldn't go for obvious reasons). While they were gone I worked out for 80 min. I moved the treadmill in front of the tv in our room. a lot more fun when you can see the tv. The guys are going to watch the UFC fight tonight. Not sure what I will be doing, but I do know it won't be watching the fight.

Day 219

Its a sad day today for Austin. The Tae Kwon Do studio Austin goes to is closing down at the end of this month. They haven't gotten any new students in over 6 months so they are finding it hard to keep up with the lease. They will be moving to Master Witz's studio which will now be 15 min away versus 2 min. And they are cutting back the days to only 2. Right now Austin goes 5 days a week, most days 3-4 hrs. We will see how long this works, if it does then great. If not we will be moving to another studio closer to home. I didn't have my camera when they told us so when I got home I took a picture of Bandit on our slide for the pool (Thru the sliding class door). He loves going up there and looking over the fence at our neighbors dog. We are always worried he's going to fall down the slide and into the pool which he HATES.(LONG STORY)

Sleeping beauties. You would think these boys didn't get enough sleep at night. They can nap for hours. I wish I could. I went with my friend Janet to visit my friend Danielle who had surgery on her knee. She's doing good. Now to keep her off her leg so the swelling will go down.(you better listen to your Dr.) My other Friend Michelle had surgery today for kidney stones. I hope this is then end of her medical problems. She's too good a person to be sick like this.

Day 217

I LOVE Music! I can't workout without my IPOD. My new treadmill has a slot for me to hook my IPOD to it. Makes working out a lot more fun when you have some great music playing. Its one of the first generation Video IPODS. Kind of big, but wouldn't trade it for anything.

Day 216

The day started on a late note. My alarm went off, but I did not hear it until 5:45. Brandon has to be at XC at 6:00 so we were a little rushed. I came home after picking Brandon up at 8:30 and napped until 12:00. This thru off my day.I guess I was tired. Then we went grocery shopping and then had to take Austin to Karate. Then pick up my hodge podge kit from Scot. They are leaving for SLC for the SU convention. Can't wait to see what ideas and fun stuff they learn. Robert put together 2 more Jetmax paper cubes for me. I am sitting here trying to organize more stuff and cook dinner. BBQ ribs with Tony Roma sauce. YUM! Now its time to watch Big Brother.

Day 215

Nothing much exciting going on today. Went to Starbucks to meet my friends Danielle and Joy to give Danielle her birthday present. I made her a cute purse scrapbook, but forgot to take a picture of it and of us all together. Tomorrow she is having surgery on her knee. I'm wishing her all the best. After just came home and been fighting this darn computer. It hasn't been working right the last couple of days. Cox guys are coming out tomorrow to hopefully fix it.

Day 214

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBERT!
We are taking him to Dicks Last Resort at the Excalibur. OMG this place is CRAZY. I can't say the food was that great, but the atmosphere was fun. My official POTD is the group shot. The extra's are just for fun. You will have to click on pics to read the hats. The waiters make these paper hats with crude sayings on them.

He did it!! Of course we knew he rocked his Purple belt testing. Here is Austin with his two instructor, Mrs. Davis and Miss Martin. Congrats Austin. You are now officially half way to your black belt.
